Article ID: KB25318 KB Last Updated: 11 Jul 2012Version: 2.0
Summary:
 This article describes the issue of the WLAN Access Point detail showing the country as UNDEFINED, even though it is defined in the configuration.
Symptoms:

In the following configuration, the country code is defined as CN (China):

access-point ap2 {
    mac-address aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff;
    access-point-options {
        country {
            CN;
        }
    }

However, when you look at the access-point details, it is displayed as UNDEFINED:

Access Point          : ap2

    Mode              : None
    Channel           : None
Radio2:
    Status            : Off
    MAC Address       : AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF
    Mode              : None
    Channel           : None
Cause:
This issue is due to an incorrect AX411device being used for the country.
Solution:
When you issue the shown wlan access-point (access-point name> detail command, the configured country may not be displayed as required. This occurs when wrong AX-411 hardware is purchased for the country. You need to ensure that the country, in which you reside, matches with the regulatory domain for it.

For example, for China, the correct regulatory domain is TELEC, and the correct SKU to purchase for China is AX411-CN.  An AX-411 with regulatory domain of WORLD will not work properly in China. For a full list of AX411 devices for different countries, refer to the Configuring and Deploying the AX411 Wireless Access Application Note.
