Article ID: KB25354 KB Last Updated: 08 Mar 2017Version: 3.0
Summary:
This article describes the issue of being unable to connect to the administrator page by browsing to http://<host-address>:1812, after the initial installation of SBR Carrier on Linux was complete and confirmed that it is running and listening on the TCP 1812 and 1813 administrator ports.

Symptoms:
Running the TCP dump on the server shows that no connections were attempted on the 1812 TCP port. The packet capture from the machine, which is attempting the connection, is as follows:

Cause:
  • By default, iptables will block the incoming connections for ports that are not specified in the table.

  • This will also trigger an ICMP message to the connecting machine stating that the connection was administratively prohibited.
Solution:
To configure the iptables as per the minimum standards, refer to KB23655 - [SBR] Minimum iptables input permissions for SBR Carrier on Linux.
