This article provides information on how to backup the initial and user configuration on QFabric.

Symptoms:
How to backup the initial and user configuration on Qfabric.
Solution:
To restore both halves of the system configuration (initial configuration/user configuration), perform the following procedure:

After the backup, the initial configuration backup is handled; but for the user configuration, a request system software configuration-restore <path> CLI command needs to be used:
root@qfabric> show configuration

Before you can access the QFabric switch, you must complete the initial setup of the Director group by using the following procedure:

If the initial setup procedure is not successfully completed, log out of the Director device and then re-login to restart this setup menu:
Continue?[y/n] y
Initial Configuration
You can also manually enter the configuration or restore from a backup:
Specify a backup file? [y/n] : y
Please specify the full path of the configuration backup file. : /tmp/SHRICONFIG
Saving temporary configuration...
Configuring peer...
Configuring local interfaces...
Configuring interface eth0 with [10.94.214.80/24:10.94.214.254]

Configuration complete. Director Group services will auto start within 30 seconds

Now, If a random configuration is committed:
