[SBR] The 'Hostname' is missing in the Statistics GUI

Article ID: KB25481 KB Last Updated: 04 Mar 2017Version: 2.0
This article describes the issue of noname, instead of the machine system name,  being displayed in the Statistics GUI.

  • The system name of the machine, on which the software is installed, should be displayed in the pull-down list.

  • This issue was found in SBR 7.4.1; but can occur with all 7.x systems.

  • This will not cause any functional issues; but may be confusing for users.
This issue occurs when there is an issue during the install or upgrade procedure. To verify what will be displayed, check the sbr_id.xml file. If you have upgraded from a previous version and noname is the only parameter present in sbr_id.xml, then this issue will occur.

For example:

sbr_id.xml file:
<component id="ConfigId.component_class">
<object program_id="RadConfigServer.RadConfigId" >
<init id="noname" />

It should look like:
<component id="ConfigId.component_class">
<object program_id="RadConfigServer.RadConfigId" >
<init id="MySystemName" />
  • If only noname is found in the sbr_id.xml file, change it to the system host name and reboot the SBR server.

  • If this is a new install or it is ok to redo the configuration, you can also run unconfigure and then configure.
