[EX] How to view the diagnostic detail (DOM) for the transceiver on the 10G/1G VC port

Summary:
This article provides information on how to view the diagnostic detail (DOM) for the transceiver on the 10G/1G VC port.

Symptoms:
You can configure the virtual chassis with the 10G/1G VC ports on certain EX switches that support the virtual chassis. At times, you may need to view the diagnostic detail for troubleshooting purposes.

If the virtual chassis is configured with xe-0/1/0 and xe-1/1/0, as shown below, you will not check the diagnostics via the show interfaces diagnostics optics xe-0/1/0 command:
lab@EX3300# run show virtual-chassis vc-port

Solution:
EX3300, EX4200 and EX4500 devices, which are running on 12.2 or later, support the viewing of the diagnostics detail for the 10G/1G VC ports via the following command:
