This article describes the issue of the 'ESX configuration of Node <node-ip> is incorrect'
error message being generated when attempting a snapshot of the Junos Space VA via the Junos Space UI.
The 'ESX configuration of Node <node-ip> is incorrect
' error message is generated when attempting a snapshot of the Junos Space VA install via the Junos Space UI.
The following error is generated, when a snapshot is taken. Go to Space > Platform > Administration > Fabric > System Snapshot:

To configure the ESX parameters, you should have the following details to proceed with the subsequent procedure:
- ESX server IP
- ESX server Username
- ESX server password
- Node name as configured on the ESX server
Go to Space > Platform > Administration > Fabric:
- Select a node (select the check box), right-click it, and select ESX Configuration:

- Type the following parameters:

- Server IP: Server IP of the ESX server.
- VM name: Name of the node as configured in the ESX server (please note that the name seen on Fabric page may not be same as that given in ESX server, and you need to use the VM name as per the ESX server, here Space-19.3R1)
- Username: Username to logon to the ESX server (refer to the VMware vSphere Client image).
- Password: Password to logon to the ESX server (refer to the VMware vSphere Client image).
- Confirm password : re-type the same password.

When the above configuration is set, you will be able to successfully run the
Snapshot tool:
Go to
Space Platform > Administration > Fabric > System Snapshot > Take Snapshot. Type the details for
Snapshot Name and
Comments and click on
Confirm.
When the Job is complete, the following message will be displayed:
This message indicates that the job is complete and the snapshot has been successfully taken.
You will also see a 'Create virtual machine snapshot' task on the vSphere client under Recent Tasks, like below:
