[ScreenOS] How to trigger the failover of only one VSYS in NSRP

Article ID: KB26185 KB Last Updated: 17 Sep 2019Version: 2.0

This article provides information on how to trigger the failover of only one VSYS in NSRP.

  • Two devices are in a NSRP cluster in the Active Passive mode with only 1 VSD.
  • Two VSYS are configured on the device.
  • The requirement is to trigger NSRP failover for the traffic of only one VSYS; whereas the traffic of the other VSYS should still pass through the first device.

The NSRP monitor configuration at either the root VSYS or the other VSYS will trigger NSRP failover for the entire device, and not for a specific VSYS only.  This is by design.
