[ScreenOS] Configuring a ScreenOS device as an NTP Server.

0

0

Article ID: KB26642 KB Last Updated: 27 Aug 2019Version: 2.0
Summary:
A ScreenOS security device can also work as an NTP server serving NTP requests from its subnet peers.
Symptoms:
How to configure ScreenOS device as an NTP server.
Solution:
For the device to act as an NTP server, we need to enable NTP server option at the interface level.

WebUI:

  1. Navigate to WebUI page Network > Interfaces > Edit (ethernet0/0) > Basic.
  2. Check the "NTP Server" check box.
  3. Click Apply.

CLI:

set interface ethernet0/0 ntp-server
save

Note: If the incoming NTP request from a client device arrives on a different interface than where the NTP server is configured, then you may also need a policy permitting NTP for that to work.
