Solution:
The Web portal page on WLC can be customized by using either of the following methods:

  • Via the WebUI:

    Use a browser in order to access the WLC's WebUI:

    • Go to Maintain > Manage Web Portal Access Page and click Start to use the wizard to customize the web-portal page:


    • For Choose Operation type, use Authenticated web portal page, click the Next button, customize the Page title, Welcome text, Warning statement, click the Next button, upload your company logo, and click Upload company logo.

    • Click Preview to view the new Web Portal page

  • Create your own web-portal page and upload it to WLC:

    • You can create your own web-portal page by using HTML code.

    • The easiest way is to save the default page is open it with IE, go to View > Source, Modify the page, and save it on your PC.

    • Upload the new page and the company logo on WLC (it is recommended to create a new folder on your controller to have good hierarchy)

    • Create a new folder on WLC:
      MX# dir /webaaa
    • upload the new web-portal page, along with your company logo, by using a TFTP server:
      MX# copy tftp:10.142.1.30/aaa.htm /webaaa/aaa.html
    • Check if the the page is on the controller (WLC):
      MX# dir /webaaa
    • Add the following command to point to the new web-portal page:
      MX# set service-profile web-portal web-portal-form /webaaa/aaa.html
