[SRX/J-series] Default route in OSPF is not advertised if 'st0' is specified in the interface

Article ID: KB26948 KB Last Updated: 06 Mar 2013Version: 1.0
This article describes the issue of SRX branch devices, after upgrading to 11.4R5, not advertising the default route via the OSPF protocol, when the st0 interface is specified in the configuration.
 If an st0 interface is included in the OSPF protocol, it does not advertise the default route, which is statistically configured.

For example:
policy-options {
    policy-statement OSPF-EXPORT {
        from protocol static;
        then accept;

protocols {
    ospf {
        export OSPF-EXPORT; < export policy
        import OSPF-EXPORT; < import policy
        area {
            interface st0.0;
The Show route 0/0 command will display the default route that is configured:
root@fwcorcl001# run show route 0/0

inet.0: 118 destinations, 119 routes (118 active, 0 holddown, 0 hidden)
+ = Active Route, - = Last Active, * = Both *[Static/10] 12:48:29
> to via reth2.0

To resolve this issue, restart the routing process to restore the services. The command to restart the routing is as follows:
>restart routing

This issue is resolved in 11.4R6, 12.1X44-D10, 12.1R5, 12.2R3, 12.3R1, and 13.1R1.
