Summary:
This article provides information on how to set the DHCP option 33 on a SRX device.
Symptoms:
How to set the DHCP option 33 on a SRX device.
Cause:

Solution:
The DHCP option 33 specifies a list of static routes that the client should install in its routing table. The first address is the destination address and the second address is the router for the destination.

The default route (0.0.0.0) is an illegal destination for a static route. This is used for individual host addresses. If you want to specify the static route for the destination network, then use DHCP option 121. For more information, refer to KB26862 - [SRX] How to send a classless static route to a DHCP client.

For example, the destination address is 3.3.3.3 with next-hop IP address as 2.2.2.2. It will be configured on SRX as follows:
set system services dhcp option 33 array ip-address 3.3.3.3
set system services dhcp option 33 array ip-address 2.2.2.2
set system services dhcp pool 192.168.1.0/24 address-range low 192.168.1.10
set system services dhcp pool 192.168.1.0/24 address-range high 192.168.1.20
set system services dhcp pool 192.168.1.0/24 router 192.168.1.1
set system services dhcp pool 192.168.1.0/24 propagate-settings ge-0/0/0

root@210-4# run show system services dhcp global
Global settings:
BOOTP lease length infinite

DHCP lease times:
Default lease time 1 day
Minimum lease time 1 minute
Maximum lease time infinite

DHCP options:
Code: 33, Type: ip-address, Value: [ 3.3.3.3, 2.2.2.2 ]

root@210-4# show interfaces ge-0/0/0
unit 0 {
    family inet {
        address 192.168.1.1/24;
    }
}
