[SBR] SBR Carrier multihomed SIGTRAN links are using the addresses in reverse order of what was configured

Article ID: KB27330 KB Last Updated: 04 Mar 2017Version: 2.0
When configuring multihomed links for the SIGTRAN communication, some customers need to specify the LADDR which should always connect to a specific RADDR.  By default SIGTRAN automatically orders the addresses entered when creating the links.  This article describes how to change this behavior.
SIGTRAN orders addresses by default. Customer needs to change default order.

In order to disable the default ordering of addresses in the Signalware stack, it is necessary to create a configuration file and then place that file into the Signalware file system.

  1. As siguser, create a file called m3ua_conf_info in the home directory and add the parameter M3UA_SLK_ADDR_SORTED=N to the file:

  2. # su - siguser
    siguser> vi m3ua_conf_info

  3. Save the file and then execute the following command to place the file in the DF directory:

  4. siguser> DFconvert m3ua_conf_info

  5. Terminate and restart Signalware on the system so the change can take effect.

  6. siguser> Terminate 0
    siguser> go.omni&

  7. When this process is completed, configure the links and check to see if the addresses are in the order provisioned in the DISPLAY-M3UA-ASSOC command.
