This article explains how to enable the internal traces that an Ascom phone is capable of providing for debug purposes.
Symptoms:
While troubleshooting VoWIFI issues, it is sometimes necessary to view the issue from the phone's perspective. The internal traces are an appropriate starting point.
Solution:

edit template window
  1. To enable tracing, open WinPDM and edit the template that is currently used in the network.

  2. Go to Device > Log and modify the Value field of the Syslog parameter to be On.

  3. Enter the IP address of the syslog server.

  4. When finished, re-deploy the template on the phones.
