When removing Omni from the server for either an upgrade or because the sigtran communication is no longer needed, sometimes the package is not able to be fully removed using the swsetup script method described in the Installation Guide.

  1.  Decommission the stack if commissioned ($OMNI_HOME/conf/swdecommission as root)

  2. Delete the following directories if they exist:

  3. rm -rf /etc/.swinstall
    rm -rf /etc/swinstall*
    rm -rf /opt/.swinstall
    rm -rf /opt/swinstall
  4. Delete packages: (as root)

  5. pkginfo | grep -i signalware | awk '{print $2}' |
    while read pkgname ; do
    echo "......uninstall $pkgname"
    rm -rf /var/sadm/pkg/$pkgname

  6. Delete $OMNI_HOME directory

  7. Default directory is  /opt/ulcm
