[SBR] Executing CoA request from JavaScript fails with error

Article ID: KB27958 KB Last Updated: 04 Mar 2017Version: 2.0

When calling a Change of Authorization (CoA) request from a JavaScript applet in SBR Carrier, the request fails with the error no NAS-IP-Address or NAS-IPv6-Address attribute found in transaction, but the session includes this information in the Current Session Table (CST).

The CoA request works through the Administrator GUI and when using the script.

When issuing the CoA request from a JavaScript applet, the required attributes are not included by default.  These attributes can be scripted into the request through the JavaScript.

This issue can be solved by adding the following attributes to SessionControl Object before calling the execute function. For example:

var sessionObject = new SessionControl();
sessionObject.AddAttribute("NAS-Identifier","TIMETRA ROUTERS SWITCHES");
