This article provides a workaround for Access Points (APs) crashing in ../ap/util/mem.c


In 8.0 releases, some older WLA models (especially MP-82s) might encounter the following crash.

The solution is to explicitly disable the device-detection feature on all configured service-profiles:

# set service-profile <name 1> device-detect mode disable
# set service-profile <name 2> device-detect mode disable
# set service-profile <name n> device-detect mode disable
