[SBR Carrier] gsmmap fails to load in Linux OS with error in startup logs "gsmmap: Module 'SQLExample' failed initialization, error=0xffffffff"

Article ID: KB28587 KB Last Updated: 05 Mar 2017Version: 2.0
Summary:

This article describes the cause of this error, and how can this error be avoided.

Symptoms:

When SBR is installed in Linux OS, and after SBR carrier is configured to do EAP-SIM authentication, SBR fails to load the EAP-SIM module. Startup logs show the following error:

gsmmap: Module 'SQLExample' failed initialization, error=0xffffffff

Cause:

In SBR Carrier, the gsmmap.gen file uses the DependsOn setting to load the relevant database accessor files.

In legacy versions of SBR carrier, there was a single file used for accessing SQL databases. For Linux, a different file is used.

Solution:

Edit the gsmmap.gen file to use the SQLaccessor_jdbc.gen rather than the SQLaccessor.gen.

DependsOn=ldapaccessor.gen,sqlaccessor.gen

should read as follows:

DependsOn=ldapaccessor.gen,sqlaccessor_jdbc.gen
