[SBR Carrier] Errors during Signalware installation on Linux

Article ID: KB28588 KB Last Updated: 05 Mar 2017Version: 2.0

When installing Signalware on Linux, errors indicating that swcomission has failed may be encountered. This article describes how to fix two such errors.

The following errors are encountered:

  • No gcc compiler is currently installed

No Signalware Linux Adaptation Layer RPM package, called swlal
and no gcc compiler is currently installed.Please install the following package and run swcommission again.

  • libstdc++ system package is missing

HOST: sbr1Ulticom (R) Product Menusiguser (root)/opt/ulcmInternal Error11 December 2013 14:32

The following command did not complete successfully.Command: /opt/ulcm/conf/swcommission on CE sbr1Error Code: 1
Error Text:+---------+| ERROR | swcommission cannot continue+---------+
The following necessary system packages are missing
Please install and try againlibstdc++(32 bit)

Missing packages are causing the swcomission process to fail. Install the missing packages to resolve these errors.

No gcc compiler is currently installed

gcc is not installed, so Signalware cannot create the necessary rpm package. To resolve this issue, install gcc using yum:

[root@capone /]# yum install gcc

libstdc++ system package is missing

Signalware cannot find the 32-bit version of the libstdc++ package. To resolve this issue, install this package using yum:

[root@capone /]# yum install libstdc++.i686

After these packages are installed, Signalware should be able to complete the installation process. If other problems arise, contact JTAC for further troubleshooting.
