Summary:

This article explains why Junos Space may fail to synchronize a device or why device synchronization may take up to five minutes.

Symptoms:

The device has a policer and/or a shaper which is applied to traffic that goes from the Junos Space server to the device's management IP address.

Cause:

The policer(s) or shaper(s).

Solution:

Disable any policers and shapers for traffic between the Junos Space server and the device.
