Summary:
This article explains why password of root admin or other admin users cannot be extracted from the configuration file.

Symptoms:
Customer has lost or forgotten the password of the root admin user. He would like to extract the same from the configuration file.

Cause:

Solution:
All passwords in the configuration file are hashed (security feature), and cannot be extracted.

Workaround : Hardware Reset the device to Factory Default settings.
