[Junos Space] Log Collector setup utility

  [KB30433] Show Article Properties

Summary:

The Log Collector utility can be used to configure or modify the IP address/Time Zone/Name Server/NTP through a utility called jnpr-configure-node.

The same options are available if you use configureNode.sh script

Symptoms:

If network design requires that customers move a device from one data center to another, it will then be necessary to change the configuration setup.

Solution:

Connect to the Log Collector via console and configure or modify by executing the command, jnpr-configure-node or configureNode.sh.

Notes:

  • While modifying the IP address, if the Log Collector node is already added under SD > Administration > Logging Management > Logging Nodes, delete the LC from the Junos Space SD UI, then execute the steps above. Once the IP address is changed, add the LC node again using the new IP address in the Junos Space SD WebUI.

  • Configuring or modifying the remaining choices (Time Zone/Name Server/NTP/email settings) can be done on a real-time basis, and deleting the 'LC node from the Junos Space UI is not required.

  • The default DB password for LC is 'juniper123' and is used while adding LC to Space SD from versions SD 17.2 and later. If you change this password, please delete and re-add the LC using new credentials.
