Summary:

This article explains the possible reasons and resolution for TOE chip memory errors reported on routers with MPC-3D-16XGE-SFPP and MPC-3D-16XGE-SFPP-R-B FPCs.

Symptoms:

Syslog reports the following FPC major errors and a TOE wedge:

Cause:

These messages could indicate a hardware issue or a transient memory issue.

Solution:
If reported, reboot the FPC and monitor. If the errors return, open a case with JTAC to investigate further.
