Summary:

In Smartpass User Management, you can configure an e-mail address for the user with a domain name suffix. It is important to understand that Smartpass only accepts a domain name suffix with up to 6 characters long while configuring an email address for the user.

Symptoms:

Unable to configure an e-mail address for the user with '.consulting' as the domain name suffix in Smartpass . The following error is returned:

Cause:

The length of the domain name used, '.consulting', exceeds the maximum allowable characters.

Solution:

The domain name suffix '.consulting' is invalid because Smartpass only accepts a domain name suffix up to 6 characters long while configuring an email address for the user.
Be sure to the domain name is 6 characters or less.
