This article provides instructions on implementing an access rule in the SmartPass server-based wireless LAN security management system.
Solution:
  1.  Configuration from the controller
    set service-profile test-web ssid-name test-web
    set service-profile test-web ssid-type clear
    set service-profile test-web auth-fallthru web-portal
    set service-profile test-web web-portal-form https://10.9.221.250:443/gp2/webportal/ext/webPortalAuthLogin
    set service-profile test-web web-portal-acl testacl
    set service-profile test-web attr vlan-name default
    set radius server smartpass address 10.9.221.250 auth-port 1818 timeout 5 retransmit 3 deadtime 0 encrypted-key 002e06080d4b000000701e1d
    set server group smartpass-grp members smartpass
    set radius dac smartpass address 10.9.221.250 replay-protect disable encrypted-key 09665b071015120000000679
    set authentication web ssid test-web ** smartpass-grp
    set authorization dynamic ssid test-web smartpass

  2. Configuration in SmartPass
    1. Create a username with the 1 hour duration using Users>Create User>Add user


       
    2. Create the access rule using Access Rules > Create Access Rule


    3. Select the Access Rule Criteria parameters for the access rule

    4. Select the Throughput Limit value

    5. Set up the Access Rule Triggers

  3. Once you complete the access rule, proceed further to activate it by using activate option.
  4. Using the scheduler option, please select the following options​ 



    The above settings will help you in restricting the throughput to 1MB for the selected user.
