Article ID: KB31606 KB Last Updated: 20 Oct 2020Version: 2.0
Summary:

This article explains how to configure a network port for virtual-chassis on EX3300.

Virtual-chassis on EX3300 for network port is supported.

Solution:

EX3300 devices can support virtual-chassis ports using network ports. In the previous code, the uplink interfaces were used to form virtual-chassis. The port 2 and 3 on uplink module were virtual-chassis ports by default. Also, port 0 and 1 on uplink module (pic-slot 1) can be configured as virtual-chassis ports.

Run the command below to configure network port as virtual-chassis port:

root@switch-1> request virtual-chassis vc-port set pic-slot 0 port 23 member 0
root@switch-1> request virtual-chassis vc-port set pic-slot 0 port 23 member 1

root@EX3300# run show virtual-chassis
