Summary:

This article explains the following:

  1. How to add more information about interface e-mail notifications received from network monitoring.

  2. How to determine the information received in SNMP trap for interface, which can be used for e-mail notification received from network monitoring.

Solution:

Below is the available list of parameters which can be added in e-mail notifications in case value is received in SNMP trap from device and supported by OpenNMS.

To determine what information is received in a particular trap, add one of the following configurations under e-mail notification configuration @ Network Monitoring > Admin > Configuration Notifications > Configure Event Notifications > Edit > Choose the destination path and enter the information to send via the notification.
