Linecards of EX9200 devices are showing in present state while moving from VC to MC-LAG configuration. A virtual chassis and MC-Lag cannot co-exist together on the same chassis. This article explains how to recover the linecards in the EX9200 while moving to MC-LAG.
Linecards of EX9200 devices are showing in present
state while moving from VC to MC-LAG configuration. This can be determined as follows:
1. All the linecards will be in present
state
user@host> show chassis fpc
show chassis fpc

2. We might receive this log message:
lcc_detach_interfaces_not_online lcc 0
in lcc_detach_interfaces_not_online vc mode is enabled.
Virtual chassis and MC-Lag cannot co-exist together on the same chassis.
Delete the virtual-chassis
configuration from the EX9200.
Use this command to delete the VC in EX9200 chassis. Note that this command will reboot the chassis and restore the device to default standalone settings:
>request virtual-chassis member-id delete
After removing the
virtual-chassis
configuration, linecards will show online.
