Cause:

The portion of the syslog message reading "drv_ge_misc_handler" is a function name in the source code. When a status change occurs to an IFD (physical interface), this function handles address changes.

 

Solution:

This log message means that a new address, 28:c0:da:b8:bc:0b, is being assigned to ifd:538(xe-9/0/5).

This is an informational message which has no operational impact in an idle scenario.
