[WLA/WLC] How to change the Secure Shell (SSH) port on the controller

0

0

Article ID: KB32304 KB Last Updated: 24 Jul 2020Version: 2.0
Summary:

This article explains how to change the Secure Shell (SSH) port on the controller.

Solution:

The default SSH port number is 22.

In the controller, there's an option to change the SSH port number by using the following command:

set ip ssh <port-num>

The following command changes the SSH port number on the controller to 6000:

WLCV# set ip ssh port 6000
success: change accepted

Note: ‚ÄčIf you change the SSH port number from an SSH session, MSS immediately ends the session.

To open a new management session, you must configure the SSH client to use the new TCP port number. From the controller, you can verify the new SSH port number by using the command, 'show ip ssh'.
