Article ID: KB32892 KB Last Updated: 21 Sep 2018Version: 2.0
Summary:

This article explains how to find the serial number for a BTI device. You may need the serial number when creating a case with JTAC or for inventory tracking.

Solution:

BTI7000 Series

The CLI can be accessed via Telnet (port 3084)  or SSH (port 8022), then:

CLI: BTI7000> show hardware

TL1: BTI7000> rtrv-inv;

The Vendor Part Num (CLI) or VENDORPN (TL1) refer to PEC (product identifier), and Vendor Serial Num (CLI) or EQPT:SER (TL1) refers to the serial number.

Note: The chassis serial number is not displayed in the hardware output. Look for the serial number label on the rear of the chassis.
