[JSA] Editing a rule results in an error that asks users to return to the last screen

In some instances, when a user edits a rule, an error may be displayed, asking the user to return to the last screen.

This article explains when such an error occurs and what should be done to avoid encountering one.



When a rule is being edited, JSA displays the following message:

"The system has detected multiple requests affecting this data. Click Return to display the last saved data. Your changes may be lost."



This happens when a user is logged in to multiple web browser sessions at the same time, and attempts to edit a rule or a rule condition.



To resolve this issue, perform one of the following steps in this order:

  1. Clear your browser cache.
  2. Use a different browser.

  3. Restart the Web Server. To restart the Web Server:
  • Log in to the JSA User Interface.

  • Click the Admin tab > Advanced.

  • Click Restart Web Server.
