This article summarizes how to switch between plans on RingMaster.

 

On RingMaster, we can create as many plans as required and switch between them. Refer to KB33451 - [WLA/WLC] How to create a new plan via Ringmaster for creating a new plan.

Note: If there are RF plans, take a backup before switching between two plans.

Steps to switch between plans:

1. Log in to RingMaster by using admin as User Name and Password. Select an IP Address and Port number, and then click Next.​

2. Go to Services > Plan Management.

3. The RingMaster WebGUI appears.

4. Click Switch Plan on the left pane to get the list of plans.

5. Select the required plan from the list and click Switch.

6. Wait for the server to initiate the process of switching between the plans.

 

• Note

  • Do not close or make any changes until the server restarts.

  • Also, RingMaster will be down while the server initializes. Therefore, it is recommended to plan this activity during off-production hours.

7. After the plans are switched successfully, the details of the switched plan are displayed on the Home screen.

 

Note: Close RingMaster so that the changes take effect. Otherwise, a Plan Mismatch message will be displayed, prompting you to close to proceed.

8. When you open RingMaster and log in, the plan will have switched.

 

Rolling Back Changes

1. In case you want to roll back the changes made, go to Services > Plan Management. Click Backup and Restore on the left.

2. Select the backup for the previous plan, select the backup plan from the list, and click Restore.

3. Wait for the server to restart the RingMaster services, and then log in.

 

RingMaster will have switched back to the initial plan.
