[Archive] Upgrading WLC via WLC WebView

This article details the steps for upgrading the Wireless Controller (WLC) via WLC WebView. 


To upgrade WLC by using WebView, perform the following steps:

  1. Download the MSS software from the Juniper Support site, and then extract or unzip the file. Save it to a safe location on your PC.
  2. Log in to WLC WebView with the Username admin and the password that you set as "Enable password" for the respective WLC controller.

  1. Click Maintain > Update System Software > Start.

  1. Click Browse and select the MSS software that was downloaded from the Juniper Support site.

  1. Click Install Now. The image is now copied into the switch’s non-volatile storage.

  1. When the image has been successfully installed, click Next.

  1. To restart WLC with the new MSS version, select Yes and click Next.



Note: After restarting the WLC, it boots up with the new MSS image.
