[SRX] Unable to configure dhcp-relay under a routing-instance in a logical system

0

0

Article ID: KB34627 KB Last Updated: 15 Jul 2019Version: 1.0
Summary:

This article discusses whether it is possible to configure dhcp-relay under a routing-instance in a logical system on SRX devices.

Symptoms:

In some Junos OS codes, there is no forwarding-options hierarchy under a routing-instance in a logical system for me to configure dhcp-relay.

Possible completions:
> access Network access configuration
> access-profile Access profile for this instance
+ apply-groups Groups from which to inherit configuration data
+ apply-groups-except Don't inherit configuration data from these groups

syntax error.
root# set logical-systems lsys1 routing-instances vr1 for

Solution:

Starting from Junos OS Release 15.1X49-D100, the forwarding-options hierarchy has been introduced in a routing-instance under logical systems.

This allows dhcp-relay to be set up in a routing-instance under a logical system, whenever required.

{primary:node0}[edit]
root@SRX# set logical-systems lsys-r1 routing-instances VR1 forwarding-options ?
Possible completions:
+ apply-groups Groups from which to inherit configuration data
+ apply-groups-except Don't inherit configuration data from these groups
> dhcp-relay Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol relay configuration
> family Protocol family
no-load-balance-label-capability Disable load balance label capability

For dhcp-relay (JDHCP) related configuration, refer to KB34624 - [SRX] Configuring JDHCP relay in a logical system.
