Article ID: KB34696 KB Last Updated: 29 Jun 2019Version: 1.0
Summary:

When trying to add a newly installed host, an error message appears indicating that the system is not installed on the host. When reviewing the logs, the following message is seen:

Feb 5 14:38:27 ::ffff:192.168.192.192 [add_host] [main] com.q1labs.configservices.capabilities.AddHost: [ERROR] [NOT:0000003000][192.168.192.192/- -] [-/- -]System is not installed on host 192.168.192.192
Feb 5 14:38:27 ::ffff:192.168.192.192 [add_host] [main] com.q1labs.configservices.common.ConfigServicesException: System is not installed on host 192.168.192.192
Symptoms:

Not able to add a managed host to deployment.

Cause:

Version mismatch between the console and the managed host.

Solution:

To verify the patch levels, from the Web User Interface Click on Help > About to verify the Console build.  From the managed host CLI, issue the following command:

/opt/qradar/bin/myver

Compare the two versions.  The build version must be identical.  If they are different, install the patch that matches the build on the Console.
