Article ID: KB34807 KB Last Updated: 31 Jul 2019Version: 1.0
Summary:

This article explains why an XQ-chip SCHED L4NP parity error is repeatedly logged.  This error does not impact service and can be cleared by rebooting the FPC.

Symptoms:

The following error message is continuously logged:

fpc5 Cmerror Op Set: XQCHIP(46): XQ-chip[0]: SCHED L4NP[0] Parity errors (status=0x20000)
Solution:

If the software detects an uncorrectable XR2 error, which are fixed locations relative to queues in XQ, it removes the queues from service by moving the traffic to a new L4 and a new set of queues, using other XR2 locations. The queues/L4 that are removed are never returned to service until reset.

To clear the errors, you must reboot the FPC.
