Article ID: KB34852 KB Last Updated: 09 Aug 2019Version: 1.0
Summary:

JATP can be configured to make Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) queries to a Windows domain controller for the Identity feature.  JATP can also send e-mail alerts for certain system health events.  For example, you might see an e-mail alert from JATP like the following.

Appliance System Health(Top 60)
Generated On: Wed, 24 Jul 2019 12:05:00-0700
Time Span: Last Year
Juniper ATP Appliance Name: jatp.juniper.net
Time Action
Wed, 24 Jul 2019 12:05:00-0700 WMI Query to <DC IP> Failed. Reason: Time-out period expired.
Generated
Solution:

A Windows domain administrator should verify that WMI processes are running correctly on the domain controller.

If the WMI processes are working as expected on the configured domain controller, delete the Identity Source (Domain Controller) in JATP GUI Environmental Settings > Identity Configuration and re-add the Identity Source (Domain Controller).

For additional information on how to perform this action, review the JATP Configuring Identity section of the Operator's Guide.
