[JSA] Changing the email server and address used to send alerts/emails

This article details the steps to change the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) (email) server configured previously and the recipient mail address on the Juniper Secure Analytics (JSA) appliance.


Steps to change the Email Server (prior to 2014.5 version)

  1. Log in to the Webmin interface of your Console or Managed Host via a browser as the root user with the password that is used to log in to the Console with SSH (https://Appliance_URL:10000).
  2. ​Hover over Managed Host Config, and then click Secure Analytics Setup.

  1. Enter the address of the mail server in the Mail server field.

  1. Click Apply Configuration at the bottom of the page.

Steps to change the Email Server (2014.6 version and later)

  1. Log in to the WebUI as Admin.
  2. Click the Admin tab > System and License Management.

  3. Select the Console or Managed Host.

  4. Click Actions > View and Manage System.

  5. ​Click the Email Server tab and add the Email Server Address in the box provided.

Note: Remember to perform "Deploy Changes" after the above steps are completed.


Steps to change the email ID from where the alert or mail notification is received

  1. Log in to the Web UI.
  2. Navigate to Admin > System Settings. Make your changes in the Alert Email From Address field.

  1. Click Save.
