Article ID: KB35071 KB Last Updated: 24 Sep 2019Version: 1.0
Summary:

This article confirms whether "routing-instance" features such as virtual-router, VRF, VRF-lite, and so on, are supported on NFX250 devices.

Symptoms:

Users might be able to commit the routing-instance configuration without any errors on the Command Line Interface (CLI) but the functionality will not work. This may also result in traffic drops.

Cause:

"routing-instance" features such as virtual-router, VRF, VRF-lite, and so on, are not supported on NFX250 devices.

Solution:

It is recommended that users should not attempt to configure routing-instance features, such as virtual-router, VRF, VRF-lite, and so on, on NFX250 devices.

For route segregation, users can deploy VNFs such as vSRX and vMX, which support the "routing-instance" features, on their NFX250 device.
