Article ID: KB35366 KB Last Updated: 09 Jan 2020Version: 1.0
Summary:

This article provides explanations of multiple logs seen on EX Platform.

Solution:
  • fpc0 LBCM-L2,pfe_bcm_l2_evt_entry_unset(),2481:Egress vlan-xlat counter detach failed for(unit 0 hw-token:4, outer-inner(24:0) port_class:1) (error-msg: Internal error)

    This error message is seen if there are no counters attached to VLAN_XLATE entry and there is an attempt to detach it. The VLAN_XLATE entry is still being deleted and there is no functional impact or side effects.

    VLAN_XLATE: Vlan Translation, the incoming vlan will be swap/translated with new Vlan Tag.

  • fpc0 optic_set_activity_led:[FPC:0 PIC:0 Port:1 Chan:0 - Ifd Speed:0] Failed setting activity led to ON

    Possibly due to a hardware issue, turning on the activity led failed on the particular FPC/PIC/Port. Reboot the Switch and check the status. Contact JTAC if the issue is not resolved.

  • dc-pfe: L2Token look up failed for bd-id = 14 Token = 50176

    The function, 'brcm_bridge_token_route_lookup' is called as a part of tx packet processing. This function is called to get the egress IFL information. When any interface related configs are removed or added back, there may be a chance before updating the L2Token where the function 'brcm_bridge_token_route_lookup' is called and thus result in error. This has no functional impact and can be ignored.

  • fpc0 Error:tvp_optics_sfpt_read: Failed to read eeprom for link 1/2

    SFP read failed. SFP may be faulty or there may be a hardware issue with the port. Use known good working optics on the port to identify the port issue. Contact JTAC if the issue persists with known good optics.
