Summary:

Juniper Services offers a range of services, including service features Product Issue Impact Review (PIIR) and Software Upgrade Recommendation Report (SURR)

  • The PIIR service evaluates the defects that match deployed network profiles and provides assessment and recommendations regarding the potential network impact and risk.
  • The SURR service reviews customer software requirements, assessment of software upgrade risk, analysis of potential impact, and recommends a target software release.


Its important to note... when requesting a  PIIR/SURR for a customer with an EX series (which includes both EX9200 and other EX series), two separate reports are needed: one for EX9200 and another for regular EX platforms. 

A regular EX series PIIR cannot cover EX9200 platforms because the EX9200 series share a similar system architecture (RE, SCB) and chipset (on MPC)  with the MX series. The PIIR query logic for EX9200 needs to consider both PRs from the EX platforms and the MX platforms.

Solution:
