Alarm time Class Description
2020-04-14 04:57:50 UTC Minor VMHost RE 0 Disk 1 Write Rate Threshold Cross
Cause:

The minor alarm, 'VMHost RE x Disk y Write Rate Threshold Cross' appears if the write rate threshold is crossed. The alarm might occur when trace options are configured and enabled on the device for protocols and services. This is usually transient in nature.

Solution:

In the Minor alarm, 'VMHost RE x Disk y Write Rate Threshold Cross' x–0 for RE0 and 1 for RE1,y–1 for disk 1 and 2 for disk 2.

This alarm is valid due to writes rate crossing the threshold and cleared automatically after the write rate comes down. This can be seen in a scaled setup with too many logs enabled.
In general, this alarm will not affect traffic and other function but impact the Syslog logging.

To clear the alarm, identify the application that is generating excessive writes and apply configuration changes to prevent excessive writes.
If the device has trace options enabled on the configuration, then disable the trace options and monitor the alarm and check if it clears.

If the issue continues to persist, contact JTAC Support for further investigation.
