[JSA / STRM] Disconnecting an HA cluster

Article ID: KB36621 KB Last Updated: 12 Mar 2021Version: 1.0
To make network or hostname changes in an HA cluster, the cluster first needs to be broken and then recreated after the changes are made with qchange_netsetup.  Note, when disconnecting an HA cluster, the data on your primary HA console or managed host is not protected against network or hardware failure.  If you have offboard storage, please consult the documentation for necessary steps.
  • configuration changes are required, but the JSA is in an HA cluster
  • need to replace the JSA device with an RMA device
  • HA cluster is no longer needed.

Use the following steps to break the HA cluster:

  1. Log in to the JSA web gui.
  2. On the navigation menu (menu icon), click Admin.
  3. On the navigation menu, click System Configuration.
  4. Click the System and License Management icon.
  5. Select the HA host that you want to remove.
  6. From the toolbar, select High Availability > Remove HA Host.
  7. Click OK.
Note: When you remove an HA host from a cluster, the host restarts.
