[Contrail Insights] How to gather logs for JTAC troubleshooting

Article ID: KB36637 KB Last Updated: 09 Jul 2021Version: 3.0

This article explains how to gather logs within Contrail Insights (formerly known as AppFormix) to submit when opening a service request with JTAC.

  1. From the AppFormix/Contrail Insights node, which hosts the docker containers, go into /opt/appformix/bin/.

  2. Run 'sudo bash tac-collect'.

  3. A zipped log file will be generated within the same folder /opt/appformix/bin, which can be used for JTAC or for your own troubleshooting.

Refer to KB23337 - How to upload large files to a JTAC Service Request (case) using SFTP or directly attach it to the JTAC service request.

Modification History:

2021-07-09: Corrected the command in step 2 to include a missing dash
