Summary:

This article explains that the log "​PTX-fpcX evo-cda-bt[13157]: [Info] CDA Intr Info Level: Clear chip_num:4 intr_full_name:pg_oct_7_pg_kppcs_group_chpcs0_wrap_status_intr_status_block_lock" is reported only for information purposes and has no known functional impact. These logs only indicate delta interrupts that are seen for PCS block_lock bits in PTX Series devices and can be ignored.

Symptoms:

Cause:

These are delta interrupts that are seen for PCS block_lock bits. These bits are relevant only for 100G non-fec mode ports because there is random noise within the serdes/ASIC blocks in these ports.

Monitoring of these delta interrupts occurs even when the ports are in DOWN state.

Solution:

These logs are INFO level interrupts and have no functional impact during the link DOWN state. The logs will not be seen when the link is UP.

Starting with Junos OS Release 20.4R2-EVO, a fix is included for this log.

As a workaround, configure set interfaces <ifd> ether-options fec fec91 for DOWN ports and delete it when bringing the ports UP.
