Someone 'tried and failed to login' several times "Multiple authentication failures have been detected!" on the get alarm event output On the "get log event": Login attempt to system by admin netscreen via Telnet from x.x.x.x:32996 has failed On the "get alarm event": Multiple login failures for user netscreen from x.x.x.x:32996

Solution:

 To acknowledge, use the following syntax:

exec alarm security ack-id number  (ack-id can be found in the alarm event.)

[or]

exec alarm security all

To clear event, use the following syntax:

clear event
