Solution:

To configure an address book entry for the internal network, perform the following procedure:

  1. Open the Web UI.For more information on accessing the Web UI, refer to KB4060 - Accessing Your NetScreen, SSG, or ISG Firewall Using the WebUI.

  2. In ScreenOS 6.0 or later, select Policy > Policy Elements > Addresses > List. In ScreenOS 5.4 or earlier, select Objects > Addresses > List.

  3. From the List page, click New:

  4. In the Address Name text box, type an address name:

    Note: For this example, 'Internal Net' was used as the address name.

  5. In the IP/Netmask text box, type the IP and Netmask that the VPN user will access.

    Note: For this example, '192.168.1.0/24' was used as the 'IP/Netmask'.

  6. From the Zone drop-down menu, select the zone in which the IP subnet resides, and then click OK.

    Note: In this example, 'Trust' was selected.

The CLI command format would be as follows:

set address <<zone name>> <<address book entry  name>> <<ip address>> <<netmask>>

So, the CLI command for the above implementation is as follows:

set address "Trust" "Internal Net" 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0
