[ScreenOS] Configuring Custom Attack Object Groups for Deep Inspection

Article ID: KB4241 KB Last Updated: 29 Mar 2021Version: 8.0

This article explains how to configure custom attack object groups for Deep Inspection via the WebUI in ScreenOS devices.

Note: Before defining a custom attack object group, you must create one or more custom attack objects to add to the group. A policy applying Deep Inspection can only reference an attack object group, not individual attack objects.

To configure a custom attack object group, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the WebUI. For an example of how to access the WebUI, consult: KB4060 - Accessing Your NetScreen, SSG, or ISG Firewall Using the WebUI.

  2. From the ScreenOS options menu, click Security, select Deep Inspection, select Attack Groups and then click Custom.

  1. From the Attack Groups Custom page, click New.

  1. From Group Name, enter an attack object Group Name.
