In NSM, when creating a route-based VPN, there is an option to Generate Single Tunnel Interface for 5.0 devices. When creating the route-based VPN, clear this option to disable Next Hop Tunnel Binding (NHTB).

To configure a route-based VPN without NHTB in NSM, perform the following steps:

Connect to the NetScreen-Security Manager. For more information on this, go to Connecting to the NetScreen-Security Manager.

From NSM, expand VPN Manager, and then click to select VPNs.

From VPNs, click +, and then click to select AutoKEY IKE VPN.

In the Name text box, enter a name.

Click OK.

Click FW/VPN Devices.

From AutoKey IKE VPN, click + to add the devices involved in the LAN-to-LAN VPN.

Click to de-select Generate Single Tunnel Interface for 5.0 devices.
