Summary:
Can You Put Both an AC and a DC Power Supply in the Same NetScreen-5000 device?
Symptoms:

Solution:

You cannot put both an AC and a DC power supply in the same NetScreen-5000 device. This is not a supported configuration. There is a load sharing board for each of the power supplies. In order for the load sharing to work properly, the power supplies need to be either all AC or all DC. Please do NOT use an AC power supply and a DC power supply together in the same NetScreen-5000 system.
